Introduction
The purpose of this blog is for people to come together and share their ideas about and experiences relating to the development of technology and the impact it is having on us as individuals, a society, and as a species. I’ve been increasingly disturbed by the effects I’ve observed, both in myself and in others, that technology is having. Instead of ignoring them, I felt I had to share these findings with others. While this blog does look at these issues through the lens of their implications for the art of teaching and how practices should evolve to meet them, my personal hope is that anyone can read these reflections, whether they agree or not, whether they are involved in education or not, and that they will find them, if not convincing, then at least thought-provoking. While debate and discussion would be fantastic, my main aim is to simply share my experiences with others and encourage reflection in people on their own experiences and opinions, so that we may move forward as a more informed and curious collective.
